David Venter has devoted his life to supporting his son, Joshua, who was diagnosed with autism and significant delays. Navigating the public school system, he fought to secure Joshua’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and therapy. However, all services ended after high school, leaving the family without su
David Venter: It's Personal
David Venter has devoted his life to supporting his son, Joshua, who was diagnosed with autism and significant delays. Navigating the public school system, he fought to secure Joshua’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and therapy. However, all services ended after high school, leaving the family without support—especially challenging during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Determined to help Joshua achieve independence, David worked tirelessly to access support services and opportunities. While collaborating with local organizations and agencies, he discovered they were not equipped to assist high-functioning individuals with disabilities in finding meaningful employment. This gap inspired him to found BeeMe Connections, a program designed to help young adults like Joshua—including those who are high-functioning or part of the broader neurodiverse community—find meaningful employment and foster inclusive work environments.
David brings decades of professional experience, including a successful career as a marketing professional and designer, senior management in early education, and 19 years as co-owner of a Boston bakery. His entrepreneurial background and creative expertise uniquely position him to lead BeeMe Connections.
BeeMe Connections empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as mental health challenges, by providing employment opportunities and training. The initiative celebrates neurodiversity and educates employers on fostering inclusive workplaces, promoting empathy, and creating environments where everyone can thrive.
David’s vision is a future where individuals of all abilities are valued, supported, and empowered to succeed, fostering a more compassionate and inclusive society.

Bee Party offers on-site training and employment and serves as a vital component in addressing the broader societal issues of homelessness and the disproportionate tendency of minors and young adults with disabilities to become entangled in the criminal justice system.

Jennifer Corbin is a seasoned Outpatient Mental Health Therapist with over 10 years of experience in human services and psychology/counseling roles. She specializes in mental health counseling, activities direction, education and employment counseling, and therapeutic mentorship. Corbin has a proven track record of inspiring, motivating, and empowering individuals to prioritize their mental health and customizing intervention approaches to meet their unique needs.
Jennifer excelled as a school-based therapist for grades 1-12 across two schools while also working and providing telehealth services for clients of all ages. Her multifaceted approach created a safe, unique, authentic mental health counseling experience, fostering strong client/therapist alliances.
Corbin is passionate about delivering effective and diverse mental health counseling to individuals of all ages. She is committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space for individuals to express their thoughts, feelings, and goals.

Through Bee Party, we aim to provide more than just jobs—we offer a pathway to meaningful employment, independence, and a brighter future for individuals and their families.
Bee Party will be located in the local Boston area, serving as both a training hub and a workplace where individuals can develop essential skills, gain financial literacy, and build confidence. In addition to fostering inclusive employment, Bee Party will offer the community high-quality balloons and curated party supplies to make every celebration special.
We plan to partner with local organizations and government agencies, collaborating with employers to create a network of Bee-friendly businesses committed to hiring our worker bees, including those with autism. These partnerships will strengthen our ability to make a lasting impact, fostering a supportive network that uplifts individuals and families, and cultivates a more inclusive and compassionate community.
